Both trails offer unique views and experiences. Even better, foot traffic during the months of January and February slow, giving you ample opportunity to explore these areas at your own pace.
Birdwatching is one of the more popular activities along the Potomac River. Our region attracts a variety of species even in the winter. The Dyke Marsh Wildlife Preserve or Great Falls Park are excellent spots to find barred owls and red-tailed hawks.
